THE ORIGINAL MONOBLOCK DRIVEWAY.
The starting condition and existing layout were recorded before any surface was lifted or excavation began.

A complete driveway renewal in Baillieston, taking the worn monoblock area through excavation, weed control and compacted Type 1 preparation to a crisp tarmac finish with contrasting block edging.
The existing monoblock driveway had reached the end of its useful life. GMGB lifted the old surface, excavated the area and rebuilt the driveway in controlled stages before applying the final tarmac surface.

The starting condition and existing layout were recorded before any surface was lifted or excavation began.

This wider view shows the complete frontage that would be stripped and rebuilt as one clean, practical driveway.

The old blocks and underlying material were taken out so the new driveway could be constructed from a dependable formation level.

With excavation complete, the open area was ready for the separation layer, sub-base and accurate level formation.

The video frame has been cleanly cropped to show the weed-control membrane stage without the phone screenshot bars.

The Type 1 was placed and compacted to form a firm, even base, with the dark block border defining the new driveway.
