AN AGEING MONOBLOCK FRONTAGE.
The existing block-paved driveway had reached the point where a complete renewal would provide a cleaner and more practical surface.

The existing monoblock frontage and narrow side access were stripped out, prepared together and resurfaced in tarmac to create a practical, continuous finish around the property.
The original frontage was finished in aged block paving, with a narrow paved route continuing along the side of the house. GMGB removed the old surfaces, excavated the footprint and prepared both areas before laying a fresh tarmac finish.

The existing block-paved driveway had reached the point where a complete renewal would provide a cleaner and more practical surface.

The wider view shows the original driveway footprint and the areas that would be renewed as one coordinated surface.

The side path was included in the project so the finished surfacing could run neatly from the frontage alongside the house.

The old side paving was lifted before the route was prepared with membrane and new levels for the tarmac finish.

The old paving and unsuitable material were removed before membrane and the new formation were installed across the driveway footprint.

The tarmac was placed and compacted across the prepared frontage, tying the driveway into the entrance and adjoining surfaces.
