A TIGHT, TIRED ENTRANCE.
The old slabs had reached the end of their useful life, while the position of the entrance pillar restricted the available width for vehicles.

A driveway too tight for comfortable vehicle access, widened by moving the wall and pillar 0.7 m before a full two-day preparation and surfacing transformation.
The original slabbed driveway had a tight entrance between the boundary pillars. GMGB moved the wall and pillar over by 0.7 m to create more usable vehicle access before rebuilding and surfacing the driveway.

The old slabs had reached the end of their useful life, while the position of the entrance pillar restricted the available width for vehicles.

All the old slabs were removed and the driveway excavated. The wall and pillar were moved 0.7 m to create a noticeably wider, more practical entrance.

A separation membrane was installed across the formation before the new base was placed and prepared to the required levels.

Heel kerbs replaced the old slab edges, while an ACO channel drainage system was installed at the entrance before the final surfacing work.

The completed driveway gives the customer more room to enter and leave the property, with a low-maintenance 10 mm enriched tarmac finish, defined heel kerbs and ACO drainage integrated across the widened entrance.
